JUAN PORRERO

Born in 1973 in Santander, Spain, Juan Porrero trained at the School of Fine Arts in Salamanca, then at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. A painter, he also has a doctorate in aesthetics at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, where he currently teaches.

Juan Porrero's painting continues a long Spanish Baroque tradition. The subjects are often serious, the material is very present. He fully uses all the sensory power of painting with great mastery of the profession which allows him to overcome difficulties.
