Igor Bitman, born in Moscow in 1953, studied drawing and painting at his hometown art school. He then took part in non-conformist artistic events, before deciding to cross the Iron Curtain in 1981.
Dazzled by its beauty, he first discovered Italy and its countless treasures. Then, in 1986, at the age of thirty-three, he settled permanently in Paris. Since 1982, this award-winning figurative painter has exhibited in Montreal, Geneva, The Hague, Bologna and Paris.
